Sunday Night – in ‘Nawlins!

Sunday night – in ‘Nawlins!

We had smooth trip in and the kids did great!

We landed at the YWAM house at 5ish, unloaded, ate pizza and headed to our French Quarter Tour with beignets for the finale! Okay, okay I did start maybe a small powdered sugar war … maybe!

Steve and Bronwen’s passion for the lost and the people of New Orleans is truly amazing.  They have 2 new staffers Kat and Jackson that are assigned to work with us on our work project and the ministry outreach. Steve led our brief French Quarter Tour tonight and his love for what he does just pours into our kids. We stopped for a few moments listened to a street singer sing a song and then our students prayed for him.  Our photographer (Dean) is getting great shots and I can’t wait to see how he puts our trip video together.

A shout out to our fellow classmates that couldn’t make it … YOU ARE MISSED – Kalan, Ethan, Josh and Arianna!  Next year!

In the morning – painting the floors of a church

In the afternoon – devotional time – French Market shopping and practicing for our Tuesday afternoon nursing home ministry and Wednesday afternoon Fischer Kids Bible Club

In the evening – debrief and worship (Carson with his guitar) and devotional

A shout out to my amazing leaders: Liz Swanson, Dwayne Chappell and Ed Wilson are such a blessing.  We have a great team and it is going to be a GREAT 5 days!

My student leaders are Shelby Hollier and Gabby Cote. In one day they have already proven many times to be so valuable.  It is such a blessing to see them take from their previous experiences on our Impact trips and know what to do and how to help and lead.

Everyone has settled in and I believe they are excited for tomorrow!

I love these kids!  What a blessing!

Thank you for your prayers and support!
